Samford Volleyball Launches Middle-School Program This Fall

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- If you are a middle school-aged girl and you want to get some hands-on involvement in the game of volleyball, Dex's Girls is the place for you. Dex's Girls started at summer camps and has carried over to the fall as the Samford volleyball team begins the 2008 campaign. Dex's Girls are middle school-aged girls who help at home matches shagging balls and getting balls to the next server. The program's namesake just happens to be Samford head volleyball coach, Derek "Dex" Schroeder. If your daughter is interested in joining "Dex's Girls", email assistant coach Jen Gandolph at jgandolp@samford.edu to sign up. Each participant who signs up will be given a t-shirt to be worn to the matches she has signed up to be a part of. The following are all home matches for the 2008 Samford Volleyball season:
