Bulldogs Drop First Game of Lady Seminole Classic
Sept. 15, 2000 Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida State Lady Seminoles played the role of rude host Friday afternoon as they defeated the Samford Bulldogs 15-2, 15-4, and 15-4 in the Lady Seminole Classic in Tallahassee.
Florida State's Norisha Campbell led all hitters with 12 kills on 14 swings for a .714 percentage. The Lady Seminoles hit .431 as a team and recorded seven service aces.
Samford was led by Shellie Ouldhouse who had six kills and 19 swings for a .211 hitting percentage. The Bulldogs made 18 hitting errors which translated into a .015 team hitting percentage.
Samford drops to 5-4 on the season while Florida State improves to 9-1 and remains unbeaten at home this season.
The Bulldogs will have to rebound quickly as they play Florida A&M at 5 p.m. tonight before facing Notre Dame on Saturday.
