The fifth-year returnee and captain will have a lot of responsibility on and off the court...her strengths will remain her serving aggressiveness and serve-receive consistency.
Junior (2008): Played in all 33 matches for the Bulldogs in 2008 while starting 16...led her team in service aces with 65 and ranks sixth on the single-season records list with that number while ranking second in the conference...jumped three spots from last year to seventh place on the career service aces list with 153...notched a season-high 12 digs in a five-game match at Appalachian State on Nov. 9 when the Bulldogs clinched the North Division Championship...was nationally ranked in aces from Sept. 15 through Dec. 20, steadily moving up the charts until she finished the season ranked eighth in the nation in aces per set (0.58) after being ranked 10th for two weeks prior. Sophomore (2007): Saw action in all 29 of Samford's matches...turned in her best performance of the season against Tennessee-Martin (Oct. 19), hitting a career-high .667...was just two digs shy of matching a career high in digs at Austin Peay (Oct. 16) as she grabbed a season-high 27 digs...leads her team in service aces with 45 on the year and ranks second in digs with 318...ranks 10th on Samford's all-time service aces list with 100...third on the single-season digs list with 412 (2006) and tied for 10th on the single-season aces list with 55 (2006)...earned her second varsity letter. Redshirt freshman (2006): Saw action in all of the Bulldogs' matches and played 105 games . . . stepped in as Libero after Courtney Gay moved to setter . . . turned in her best performance at South Alabama (Sept 9), tallying a career high 29 digs and just missing a school record . . . recorded a career high and a team high six aces at Eastern Illinois (Oct. 20) . . . ranked first on the team in aces (55) and digs (412) . . . recorded the school's second highest single-season digs total with 412, just missing the all-time record by four . . . earned her first varsity letter. 2005: Redshirted . . . signed with Butler University out of high school, but didn't participate in any matches or practices . . . transferred to Samford after the fall semester and worked out with the team during the spring. High School: Led Bishop Chatard High School to the 2004 Indiana State championship . . . earned first-team All-State, first-team All-City and All-North honors by the Indianapolis Star in 2004 . . . named to the 2004 Indiana All-Star team . . . received second-team All-City honors in 2003.
