Jennifer Dorn begins her second season with the Bulldogs after a very successful player career at the University of Southern California, where she was named an Honorable Mention All-American by Volleyball Magazine in 2002. She was a three-time PAC-10 First-Team selection and earned PAC-10 All-Freshman team honors in 1998. A native of Riverside, Calif., Dorn recorded a career-high 23 kills against UCLA and a career-high 19 digs against Nevada, both during the 1999 season. She finished her career with 1,084 kills and an attack percentage of .353, along with 401 career blocks. In her senior season, she led the Trojans with a .397 attack percentage while being named to the NCAA Region VIII All-Tournament team. She led USC to its fourth-straight NCAA tournament appearance and a second-straight trip to the Elite Eight. In a Sept. 7 match at Hawaii, she recorded a kill-block double-double with 12 kills and 10 blocks, in addition to hitting .524. With an 11-kill, seven-block performance the previous day against Cincinnati, she was named to the Aston-Iroua Challenge All-Tournament team. As a junior, she earned AVCA Second-Team All-America honors as she led the Trojans and finished second in the PAC-10 with 1.27 blocks per game and a .405 attack percentage while leading the women of Troy to their first final four in 15 years. The earned NCAA Pacific Regional All-Tournament honors after averaging a .472 attack percentage in victories against Florida and Penn State. As a senior at Linfield High School in Temecula, Calif., Dorn was named to Volleyball Magazine’s Fab 50 list in 1997. Dorn graduated from USC with a degree in anthropology in 2002 and spent the summer of 2000 traveling with Athletes in Action to Sri Lanka, India, and Hong Kong.
