March 27, 2007 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford women's team hit the courts Wednesday to take on cross-town opponent UAB in an afternoon match at the Pat M. The Samford women (9-2, 7-0 OVC) come off a great weekend in which they claimed their sixth and seventh OVC wins to continue their undefeated conference streak. The Bulldogs were victorious over the Colonels of Eastern Kentucky (6-1) and the Morehead State Eagles (7-0). The Blazers are coming off their 10th win of the season over Lehigh, 6-1. UAB is 10-1 on the season and undefeated in the Conference-USA.
