Samford Women Continue Win Streak Over Tennessee Tech

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford women grabbed their final home conference win over the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles Friday afternoon. The Bulldog women have won eight of their last nine matches and are still undefeated in the conference. The Samford women won the doubles point by taking the No. 2 match and winning by default in the No 3 court. The Bulldogs then went on to take four singles matches to clinch the overall match. Katie McMiller defeated Tennessee Tech's No. 2 player, 6-4, 6-1, while Emily White lost a tough match in the No. 3 court in a tiebreak with TTU's Ruiz de Gauna. Whitnie Warren is still undefeated at the No. 4 spot after taking down Yartseva, while Sarah McKey and Bethany Benson win by default in the last two courts. The Samford women will be back in action tomorrow at 10 a.m., as they take Lynn University. Samford 5, Tennessee Tech 2 Doubles Singles
