Birmingham-Southern Defeats Women's Tennis
April 2, 2003
Emily Nunnally won two matches for the Bulldogs on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough as cross-town Birmingham-Southern captured a 6-1 victory at Samford. Nunnally and Katie Crawford started things off in a positive manner for Samford, winning 8-5 at No. 1 doubles. The Panthers battled back to win at No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the doubles point. Beside Nunnally's 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles, there weren't too many highlights for the Bulldogs on this day. Samford (5-10) will try to bounce back with a pair of matches this weekend.
