MACON, Ga. -- Samford's women's tennis team won the doubles point in convincing fashion, but the Bulldogs were only able to win two singles matches, and fell to Mercer 4-3 Saturday. Three of the four singles matches the Bears won were decided in three sets.

Samford (5-9) will host Birmingham-Southern on Wednesday. The Bulldogs face Chattanooga and Troy State before the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament April 16-19.
