NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Samford women's tennis team improved to 3-5 on the season with a 6-1 win over Belmont University on Friday. Brooke Bryant, Courtney Collins, and Kristin Upp all took singles victories. All three of Samford's doubles teams were winners. Katherine Jayroe and Emily Nunnally were ahead in their matches but did not finish because the outcome of the match had already been decided.

The Samford men were not as fortunate as they fell 5-2 and dropped to 2-7 on the year. David Misner got a victory at number one singles and Raphael Bohli took the win at number three.

Both teams are scheduled to play at Tennessee State Friday night.
