Women's Tennis Loses to Southern Miss

Southern Miss defeated the Bulldogs 4-3 in women's tennis on Tuesday at Samford. Junior Emily Nunnally won two matches for the Bulldogs, who have a quick turnaround. Samford plays at Birmingham-Southern College on Wednesday. In doubles, Emily Nunnally and Katie Crawford won their match 8-2. Lisa Stertzer and Jenny Walls, and Jen Pharr and Jamie Aid both lost 8-1 to USM. Emily Nunnally, Jen Pharr and Jenny Walls all won their singles matches, while Katie Crawford, Lisa Stertzer and Lane Santa Cruz came up on the losing end. The Bulldogs are now 1-2 (0-1 Atlantic Sun) on the season.
