MEMPHIS, Tenn. ---- The Samford women's tennis team extended its undefeated streak Saturday evening with a 6-1 win over the Memphis Tigers. The match was the second of a double-header in Memphis, following a 7-0 sweep of Southern Illinois. The Bulldogs have now won four in a row and are 4-0 on the season.

The Bulldogs took all but one singles match with Anna Jackson leading off once again at the No. 1 court. Jackson defeated Amanda Brown, 7-5, 6-4, while at the No. 2 court, Rebecca Kirven fell to Ashley Murdoch, 7-6, 6-0. At the No. 3 spot, Taylor Morgan defeated Kristin Chamberlain, 6-1, 6-1, and Andrie Meiring beat Marjorie Ondeck, 5-7, 6-0, 6-2. Lindsey Mallory defeated Lindsey Wiseman, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 5 court while Katie Weaver defeated Dara Taulch, 6-4, 7-5.

In doubles, No. 1 duo Jackson/Weaver defeated Brow/Zakir, 8-4, while No. 2 duo Morgan/Mallory beat Murdoch/Ondeck, 8-7. At the No. 3 doubles court, Kirven/Meiring defeated Wiseman/Chamberlain, 8-4.

The Bulldogs kick off the conference season Wednesday on the road at Jacksonville State. Match play begins at 2 p.m.
