OXFORD, Miss. - The No. 19 nationally-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team remained undefeated at 3-0 by defeating Samford University, 6-1, Tuesday afternoon at the Gillom Sports Center.

Ole Miss won all three doubles matches only allowing Samford five games. "We are excited about our doubles play," Lady Rebel head coach Jerry Montgomery said. "With the change of format (doubles first) this year, it is very important for us to get off to a great start in the match. We did that today."

Samford's only point on the day came at number three when Ole Miss's Mira Radu retired down a set (6-4) to the Bulldog's Emily Nunnally. The Bulldogs dropped to 0-2 on the year and will travel to Tallahassee, Fla. on Jan. 30, to face Florida A&M.
