MACON, Ga. - Samford Univerity's Erin Landsburg is the Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The right-hander pitched 20 of the Bulldogs 23 innings posting a 1-1 record and a 0.70 ERA. Landsburg was very effective in the Bulldogs only loss of the week throwing six innings giving six hits, one unearned run, and striking out five in a 1-0 loss at UAB. She responded with a victory in a 10 inning performance as Samford defeated Jacksonville 4-3 in the first game of a double header. She threw 136 pitches, giving up one earned run and striking out nine Dolphin hitters.

Landsburg started the second game of the doubleheader, an 8-3 victory, pitching four innings giving up two runs, one earned, and fanning four more to give her 18 strikeouts in 20 innings as she allowed just two earned runs for the week.

Samford is 16-7 on the season and 2-0 in the Atlantic Sun after sweeping Jacksonville. The Bulldogs travel to Orlando, Fla., on Wednesday to battle conference-foe UCF in a double header that begins at 1 p.m. CT.
