STARKVILLE, Miss. - The scheduled NCAA softball double-header between Mississippi State and Samford schedule for 4 p.m. this afternoon has been postponed due to rain in the Starkville area.

Both coaches are trying to reschedule the double-header for next Wednesday, March 5. That date has not been finalized. Samford has had its last two scheduled playing dates rained out and have not played since losing to Mississippi State on Feb. 16. The Bulldogs are 1-1 on the season and are next scheduled to play in the UTC/Sonic Challenge in Chattanooga, Tenn., this weekend.
