2007 OVC All-Tournament Team

Intense competitor . . . plays hard every time she steps on the field . . . expected to have another good season . . . has fun on the base paths and wreaks havoc on opposing defenses . . . can really cover some ground in the outfield.

2007 (Sophomore): Named to the 2007 Ohio Valley Conference All-Tournament team after finishing the three-day competition with a .455 batting average . . . she went 5-for-11 at the OVC Tournament and was a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts . . . tied the school's single-season record with 19 stolen bases . . . finished the year with a near-perfect 19-of-20 mark in stolen base attempts . . . concluded the season ranked third in the OVC with 19 stolen bases . . . ranked third on Samford's all-time stolen bases list with 34 . . . turned in the team's top batting average with a .304 mark, and finished the season on a tear by batting .426 in the final 13 games . . . tallied a team-high 49 hits and two triples . . . led the team with a .373 batting average with runners on base . . . batted a Bulldogs-best .333 (15-of-45) with two outs . . . turned in the team's longest hitting streak as she hit safely in eight-straight games against Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee State and Morehead State . . . compiled 12 multiple-hit games, including a pair of three-hit outings against both Morehead State April 28 and UT Martin May 11 . . . earned her second varsity letter.

2006 (Freshman): Member of Samford's prestigious Dog Pound Club for her hard work in the weight room . . . played in 51 of the team's 58 games and made 46 appearances in the starting lineup . . . spent most of her time in the outfield and played 20 games at both center and right field . . . also started five games at shortstop . . . acted as the Bulldogs' primary leadoff hitter and led the team with 15 stolen bases . . . was 15-for-18 on stolen-base attempts and scored a team-high 24 runs . . . finished the season second in batting average (.259) and tallied seven runs batted in . . . registered 35 hits and was tied for second on the team in the category . . . turned in a .378 batting average with runners on base . . . batted .857 with runners on third and less than two outs . . . earned a .643 success rate in advancing base runners . . . finished the season with seven multiple-hit games and a three-hit performance against Houston Feb. 18 . . . holds the fifth-longest current hitting streak in the Ohio Valley Conference as she concluded league play with a five-game hitting streak . . . finished seventh in the OVC in stolen bases (15) . . . went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI against Sam Houston State Feb. 19 . . . turned in a 2-for-3 performance versus Troy March 30 and also finished with a run and an RBI . . . earned her first varsity letter.

High School: Earned first-team All-Area honors as a senior at Fort Walton Beach High School . . . led her prep squad to a regional final appearance as a junior . . . is a member of her high school's Hall of Fame . . . a Wendy's High School Heisman nominee. . . was a four-year starter on the softball team and a three-year starter in basketball . . . earned second-team All-Area honors in basketball and received the Florida Above the Rim Award . . . competed in the ASA Gold National Championships . . . batted .311 for the High Intensity Gold club team, leading the squad in stolen bases . . . tallied a .290 batting average at FWBHS and helped lead her team to its first two playoff appearances in 2004 and 2005.
