Got a lot of valuable experience last year as a true freshman in the pitcher's circle...improving a lot and will be looked to as a reliever this year. 2008 (Freshman): Play in 36 contests for Samford as a true freshman, 31 in the pitcher's circle while starting 13...named OVC Pitcher of the Week in the first week of competition...posted an 8-7 record in the circle, pitching 118 innings and five complete games with a 3.92 earned run average...grabbed three saves, the most on the team and struck out 30 batters looking on the season...finished the season ranked second in the conference in saves (3) and seventh in strikeouts (96)...earned her first varsity letter. High School: Named to the Memphis Commercial Appeal All-Metro Team in three straight seasons (2005-07) . . . received the Most Valuable Player honor in both 2005 and 2007 . . . named a Top-Five "Best of the Preps" . . . finished her junior campaign with a miniscule 0.39 earned run average at Houston High School . . . concluded the 2006 season with 198 strikeouts in only 136 innings of work.
