Soccer faces Mercer Tonight
Oct. 4, 2001 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford Soccer Team will host Mercer tonight at 6 p.m. in a key Atlantic Sun Conference match. The Bulldogs are currently in first place in conference standings at 2-0-1 while the Bears (3-1) are in a three-way tie for second place with UCF and Campbell. The Bulldogs are coming off a successful conference road trip which saw the team go 1-0-1. Sophomore forward Lisa Robishaw came off the bench to score two goals and lead Samford to a 5-1 win over Stetson. The Bulldogs tied defending conference champion and preseason favorite Jacksonville, 1-1 in double overtime. Sophomore forward Hayley Kolb finished the weekend with two goals and one assist.
