BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Western Kentucky's Betsy Duncan found the back of the net off a pass from Allison Nellis in the 112th minute to give the Lady Hilltoppers a 1-0 win over the Bulldogs in double-overtime Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless game through regulation and the first overtime, Duncan broke free for the only goal of the game. Her shot beat Bulldog freshman goalie Cassie Coggins as Western improved to 7-1.

It was the second time in two days the Bulldogs played an overtime match. Samford needed Hayley Kolb's goal in overtime Saturday to defeat Murray State 4-3. Against the Lady Hilltoppers, Kolb was limited to two shots and just one shot on goal. Western outshot the Bulldogs 20-7 in the game.

All three Samford goalkeepers on roster played and combined for seven saves with freshman Crystal Royal getting five of them.

The Bulldogs will hit the road again this week when they travel to the state of Florida for two key Atlantic Sun Conference match-ups. Samford plays Stetson on Thursday and Jacksonville on Saturday. Both games start at 2 p.m.
