SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

My favorite Samford memory:
My favorite memory was beating Vanderbilt in the first round of the NCAA tournament. I also enjoyed hanging out with the girls on road trips.

One thing I'll miss most about Samford soccer:
I'll miss not being able to play soccer with my teammates at the competitive college level anymore, and I will also miss the incredible feeling I get after beating one of our rivals.

The most important thing I could tell the freshmen about college life and playing soccer is:
As a freshman it seems like you have so many years and games of soccer left to compete in, but the reality is that it will fly by you so fast. The best advice I could give to an incoming freshman would be to play every game as if it were your last and to take time out of your busy schedule of soccer and school to hang out with your friends.

The lessons that I have learned from playing soccer that will help me in my everyday life are:
One of the major lessons I have learned is time management. At first it seems like an impossible feat to be able to have a social life, excel in school, and do well in soccer, but if you learn how to manage your time correctly you can be successful in all these areas of your life. This holds true for soccer and life outside of soccer.

Another lesson soccer has taught me throughout the years is to never ever quit, even if your body is exhausted or you failed at your first attempt. In my everyday life this mindset has helped me get through obstacles that have stood in my path. The lessons I have learned in soccer have helped mold me into the person I am today.
