SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

My favorite Samford memory is:
I have so many amazing memories from Samford. My two favorite memories that have to do with soccer have to do with the NCAA Tournament. The first one was my freshman year when we went to Vanderbilt and beat them in a shootout in the first round of the tournament. Then when I was a junior, we got an at-large bid and played LSU. We lost in double overtime but it was one of the most fun games I have ever played. We just enjoyed ourselves and even head coach Todd Yelton was laughing during breaks! Oh yeah, and building a fort on the bus.

The one thing I'll miss the most about Samford soccer is:
I love playing soccer but that is not what I will remember about Samford. It is being apart of a team with the best friends I have ever had. I was extremely blessed to have built lifetime friends from this team that love me for who I am. It was such a joy to go into each game with the opportunity to compete for these girls. I will miss being apart of a team.

The most important thing I can tell incoming freshmen is:
First of all build friendships with the girls in your class because you will be with them for four years. Also, when you find your identity in Christ, it makes soccer so much more fun. Knowing that you are playing for the Lord and not yourself truly brings a sense of joy and purpose.
