SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

My favorite Samford memory:
Although there have been so many memorable events over the last three years, beating Vanderbilt in the NCAA Tournament has to top them all off. That was just awesome. Coming in at a very close second is when our incredible fans surprised us and showed up at Eastern Illinois for the conference tournament. I got chills!

One thing I'll miss the most about Samford soccer:
I will miss being a part of a team. But more so . . . being part of a team that is made up of really great girls. I feel so blessed that I have been able to spend my time at Samford surrounded by some of the greatest people I know.

The most important thing I could tell freshmen about college life and playing soccer is:
YOU CAN DO IT! There may be times when it may not seem possible to juggle all the demands of school, soccer and life, but if you just work your hardest and believe that it is possible, then the rest of it will take care of itself. Also, don't forget the importance of investing time in your friends. They will be in your life longer than school or soccer. Oh yeah, and don't forget to call your family. They love you!

The lessons that I have learned from playing soccer that will help me in my everyday life:
The impact that playing soccer at Samford has had on my life is huge. I believe that it has allowed me to grow in many areas of my life. The experiences that I have had and the great girls that I have been surrounded by have helped to mold me into the person that I am today. Playing soccer here has allowed me to laugh, smile and cry. It has humbled me and further made me realize that I can do nothing without Him. I will be forever grateful for the impact that being part of this amazing team has had on my life.
