Shanks is a natural goal scorer with a great work rate, tremendous speed and composure . . . very athletic . . . one of the best finishers on the team and is especially dangerous in one-on-one situations.

2003: Started all 21 games for Samford . . . named Second Team All-OVC . . . selected to the National Strength and Conditioning Association Strength Coaches All-America Team, an honor established for student-athletes that display leadership in the weight room . . . set the school mark for career goals (24) with her game-tying goal late in the second half against Eastern Illinois in the OVC championship game . . . also holds the career record for shots with 155 . . . second in career points (64) and third in assists (16) . . . tied for tenth in career games played (61) . . . was second on the team in 2003 in goals, assists, and points, and led the team in shots (43) . . . tallied six points (two goals, two assists) in the season opener against Belmont on Aug. 29 . . . had a goal and an assist against Mississippi State on Sept. 16 . . . posted a goal and an assist against Murray State on Oct. 3 . . . was named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll for her academic work.

2002: Earned second-straight A-Sun second team honors . . . moved into second place on Samford's all-time points and goals lists with nine goals and 24 points . . . scored a goal in a school-record five straight matches . . . had seven goals over those five games by scoring twice against Birmingham-Southern and Troy State . . . scored a point in six straight matches from Sept. 3-Sept. 16 . . . recorded game-winning goals against Birmingham-Southern and McNeese State . . . dished out six assists to place her fourth on career assists list with 11 . . . named to the All-Tournament Team at the Jason's Deli/Samford Classic and was the Most Outstanding Offensive Player at the Port City Classic . . . also Atlantic Sun Player of the Week Sept. 9.

2001: Second Team All-Conference performer . . . All-Freshman Team member . . . tied Hayley Kolb's freshman record of nine goals and broke the school record for most points in a season with 23 . . . scored two goals and had two assists in her college debut against Montevallo on Sept. 4 . . . also scored two goals with one assist in a 4-1 victory against Mercer on Oct. 4 . . . .scored game-winning goal at Jacksonville State on Sept. 12 . . . added a goal and an assist at Murray State on Sept. 18 . . . already eighth on Samford's career points list, is sixth in assists, and is seventh in goals.

High School: Member of the '83 Indiana Olympic Development Program . . . was a two-time first-team All-City, District, Region and State performer for Reitz HS . . . was a two-time Southern Indiana Athletic Conference first-team award winner and the 2000 Evansville Women's Soccer Player of the Year . . . scored 29 goals and handed out 13 assists during her senior season.
