Nichols is a solid defensive center midfielder who consistently puts pressure on opponents . . . one of the best on the team at serving balls and putting them in the right spot on the field.

2003: Played in seven games . . . Samford was 6-0-1 in those games . . . picked up her only assist of the season and the first of her career against Austin Peay on Oct. 17.

2002: Played in eight games . . . Bulldogs were 6-2 in games in which she played . . . took shots against against Belmont and Jacksonville State.

2001: Saw action in nine games, scored one goal on three shots . . . scored her first collegiate goal at Stetson in a 5-1 victory Sept. 27.

High School: A member of the North Texas '83 Olympic Development Program . . . earned All-District honors as a four-year starter at Colleyville HS in Dallas . . . team won a Texas High School State Soccer Championship and was ranked third nationally by the NSCAA . . . a high school teammate of former Samford player Kelly Christoffer, current sophomore Kim Matthews, and freshman Katherine Sweatt.
