WAYNESVILLE, N.C. -- Samford's women's golf team tied for 19th out of 24 teams at the Great Smokies Women's Collegiate Tournament hosted by Western Carolina. The Bulldogs shot rounds of 318-336 for a 78-over par 654 total.

Sophomore Tricia Harlow led the Bulldogs shooting 81-79=160. Senior Sara Gossum shot 79-83=162 (T68th). Sophomore Kelly Villarreal tied for 85th, shooting 80-86=166. Freshman Kelly Stout shot 78-89=167, tied for 87th. Sophomore Christine Sparks shot 88-88=176, tied for 112th.

Samford wraps up the fall tournament schedule Oct. 28-29 at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate in Clarksville, Tenn.
