TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Samford University women's golf team finished in 13th place at the Ann Rhodes/ Alabama Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Sept. 21). The University of Alabama was the hosting school, while the tournament was held at the Ol' Colony Country Club. The Bulldogs finished with a total score of 660, while Tulane University took the crown with a score of 596.

"We performed better today," said head coach Ian Thompson. "The weather conditions were better, our performance was substantially better as we finished 20 strokes better in day two. I feel Barriento (Brooke) had a solid performance in her first collegiate event as a freshman. Now we all will work on our problem areas and get ready for the next competition."

In day one, Samford finished with a team total of 340. In day two, Samford finished 20 strokes better with a score of 320, while placing 13th overall for this tournament.

Brooke Barriento was Samford's top finishers with a score of 160, while Kelly Stout fired a 162 and Tricia Harlow shot a 168.
