MOBILE, Ala. - Sophomore Kelly Stout led the Bulldogs to a 13th -place finish with a final score of 662 (336-326) to end the USA Lady Jaguar Spring Invitational, hosted by South Alabama. Individually, Stout finished the invitational 14th overall with her Samford-best score of 154 (77-77). Middle Tennessee State took the crown with a score of 602, while McNeese State finished second (604) and Birmingham-Southern took third (608).

"This was a solid tournament," said head coach Ian Thompson. "We improved by 10 strokes today as a team as I am also very pleased with Kelly Stout's performance. We will look for big things from her throughout the season. We will now head home, learn from this experience and look forward to hosting the Samford Intercollegiate at the end of the month."
