Women's Golf Finishes Day One Of BSC Shootout At 12th Place

McCALLA, Ala. - The Samford University women's golf team finished 12th overall with a score of 331 to complete day one of the BSC Shootout, hosted by Birmingham-Southern at Bent Brook Golf Course today (Feb. 28). After day one, Jacksonville State leads with a score of 304, while at second UAB shot 307.

For the Bulldogs, Kelly Stout and Kelly Villarreal finished as the top Samford golfers for the day. Stout shot 79, while Villarreal carded 83.

Also performing for Samford, Tricia Harlow shot 84, Brooke Barriento carded 85, while Courtney Warr finished with a score of 90.

The Bulldogs will continue competition at the BSC Shootout tomorrow (Mar. 1), hosted by Birmingham-Southern at the Bent Brook Golf Course. The final round will tee off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
