Maria Troche

2007-08 (Junior): Earned Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week honors on April 9 after she paced the Bulldogs to a fifth-place finish at the 2008 Crimson Tide Classic hosted by the University of Alabama . . . during the 54-hole competition, she fired a team-best score of 225 and earned a tie for ninth place in the talent-laden tournament . . . she also tallied a ninth-place finish at the 2007 Ann Rhoads Southern Shootout by firing a 36-hole score of 158 . . . competed in all 11 tournaments for the Bulldogs and helped lead Samford to a fifth-place finish at the 2008 OVC Championships . . . earned her third varsity letter.

2006-07 (Sophomore): Competed as a member of the playing five in all 10 of the Bulldogs' tournaments ... finished the season with the third lowest stroke average of 80.7 (25 rounds) ... grabbed her highest tournament finish at the Jacksonville State Chris Banister Classic with a 12th-place finish ... carded her lowest round (76) and her lowest two-round tournament total (156) at the Birmingham Tri-Match ... turned in her lowest three-round tournament total at the Samford Intercollegiate with a score of 233 earning her 25th place ... earned her second varsity letter.

2005-06 (Freshman): Competed as a member of the playing five in all nine of Samford's tournaments ... recorded the second highest stroke average for the Bulldogs with 78.7 (22 rounds) ... tied for fourth place in the USA Lady Jaguar Invitational, carding a career-low round score (73) and two-round tournament total of (148) ... also placed ninth in the Troy Invitational and 11th in the Birmingham-Southern Ann Rhodes Classic ... placed 15th overall at the Women's Golf OVC Championships ... named OVC Player of the Week for the week of March 8th ... named to the All-OVC Second Team and the OVC All-Newcomer team ... unanimous pick for 2005-06 OVC Freshman of the Year ... earned her first varsity letter.

High School: Attended Goethe High School and Springwood High School ... named Most Valuable Player and received the Captain's award ... also a member of the Honor Roll.
