During his highly successful tenure at Samford, Eubanks has led his teams to their first conference championships, their first NCAA Championship appearance and their highest rankings in school history. He has also led Samford to five event championships and six individual championships.

With high academic standards a trademark of the Samford golf programs, Eubanks has coached two freshmen of the year and 16 all-academic honorees. He has also guided the Bulldogs to a perfect 100-percent Academic Progress Rating (APR) for both the men's and women's teams.

"My Mission Statement is to continue to establish a strong program in which Samford athletes can compete and be successful against the top-ranked Division I programs in the nation."
Samford head coach Woodie Eubanks

Prior to being named Samford's head men's coach in 2003, Eubanks served as the head golf director at Links O'Tryon in Campobellos, S.C., and as the assistant pro at Pine Tree Country Club in Birmingham, Ala.. He has also continued his playing career by competing on a number of professional golf mini tours.

In only Eubanks' second season as head coach, he led the Bulldogs to the championship title of the 2005 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship. During the championship run, he coached the OVC's Most Valuable Player and three OVC First-Team honorees. In 2005, the Bulldogs advanced to their first NCAA Regional Championship competition held at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

During the 2004-05 campaign, the Eubanks-led Bulldogs finished the regular season with a team stroke average of 290, just two-and-a-half strokes over par. Samford's impressive stroke average garnered its first national ranking in school history, according to Golfstat Rankings.

In his first season as head coach at Samford, Eubanks improved the team's stroke average to 300, while averaging 12 strokes over par. The team's best outing of the 2003 campaign was a thrilling second-place finish at the Harris Fall Classic. Despite being in its first year as a member of the OVC, Samford rallied to earn a fourth-place finish in the annual conference championship.

During his time at Samford, Eubanks has greatly improved the golf programs' national rankings. He has also given even more credibility to the Bulldogs in the area of players, tournaments and schedules.

Originally from Greer, S.C., Eubanks is married to the former Jayme Crew. The couple currently resides in Pinson, Ala., and has two kids, Mary Katherine and A.C.
