Samford will host Southeast Missouri State in women's college basketball action Saturday afternoon at Seibert Hall. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. The Bulldogs play only their second home game in the Mike Morris era.

Giovanni Price tied her career-high with 24 points, but Southern Mississippi held off a fierce Samford comeback to defeat the Bulldogs, 68-60, Tuesday night. The Bulldogs (1-4) shot 53 percent from 3-point range, but the Lady Eagles (3-2) out-rebounded Samford 40-24. Price was 8-of-10 from the field including 5-of-6 from 3-point range. Lindsey Harris scored 13 points all in the second half for the Bulldogs.

Carina Souza and Yashika Sidbury each scored 14 points and Sarah Costello added 13 points to lead Southeast Missouri State past Lipscomb, 71-50, Thursday night at home. The Otahkians outscored the Lady Bisons, 41-23, to break open a 30-27 halftime lead. Costello also added 11 assists and eight steals in the win. On the season, Yashika Sidbury leads Southeast Missouri State averaging 15.8 points per game.

Samford and Southeast Missouri State meet for the second time with SEMO holding a 1-0 edge in the series. The Otahkians won last season's meeting, 90-41, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Southeast Missouri State will be the first of three Ohio Valley Conference teams that Samford will play this season. The Bulldogs will play Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State in the Eastern Kentucky Classic.
