BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford University women's basketball player Tara Enoch received the American Sports Medicine Institute Senior Scholarship Tuesday afternoon presented by the American Sports Medicine Institute.

The scholarship is awarded to one senior sports medicine major at each school that has a sports medicine major. Enoch a three-year letter-winner in women's basketball was chosen as Samford's recipient this year.

"It is exciting to be recognized for working hard in the training room and in the classroom," said Enoch. In addition to her basketball obligations, Enoch has served as trainer for the Samford football and softball teams. She has been an Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic selection the past two years, and is a co-captain on this year's team.
