Samford wraps up its regular season home schedule this week against Gardner-Webb and Campbell before hitting the road for its final three games. The Bulldogs host Gardner-Webb at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader with the men's team.

Gardner-Webb (3-19, 2-9 A-Sun) enters Thursday's game, one game ahead of Samford (5-17, 1-10 A-Sun) and two games behind fourth place Campbell (8-14, 4-7 A-Sun). The top four teams in each division will advance to the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Mar. 13-15, in Orlando, Fla.

Sophomore guard Lindsey Harris scored 14 points against Troy State and 19 points against Mercer last week to finish the week averaging 16.5 ppg. Harris went 8-for-15 (53 percent) from behind the arc last week. The Bulldogs host Campbell in a key Atlantic Sun game on Senior Day. Tip-off is set for 4:45 p.m.

Last time out,Chaquita Alexander scored a game-high 20 points to lead three Lady Trojans in double figures and Troy State overcame a 26-24 halftime deficit to defeat Samford, 55-45, Saturday afternoon at Trojan Arena in Atlantic Sun Women's basketball action. Samford fell to 5-17 and 1-10 in the A-Sun while TSU improved to 13-9 and 8-3 in conference. Lindsey Harris scored 14 points to lead Samford while Cora Beth Smith added 11 points. Samford shot 34 percent in the game while Troy State shot 42 percent from the field. Kim McGriff and Thea Herring each added 10 points for the Lady Trojans. Samford held a 26-24 lead at the intermission. The Bulldogs shot 39 percent from the floor including 50 percent from 3-point range.

Gardner-Webb put a scare into A-Sun South leader Florida Atlantic on the road last Saturday. Gardner-Webb tied the game at 79, but Sumika Alexander hitting a running jumper with two seconds left, giving FAU the 81-79 win. Casey Collins scored a career-high 29 points against the Lady Owls. Gardner-Webb enters Thursday's game, one game ahead of Samford and two games behind fourth place Campbell. The top four teams in each division will advance to the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Mar. 13-15, in Orlando, Fla. Collins leads the team averaging 13.5 points per game while Shameka Smith (11.8 ppg) and Katie Gravel (10.3ppg) are right behind.

Samford and Gardner-Webb meet for the second time with Gardner-Webb leading the series 1-0. GWU won this season's first meeting, 70-49, in Boiling Springs.
