Samford Tennis To Host Pair Of Holiday Instructional Camps Over Christmas

Dec. 10, 2008

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University tennis program will be hosting a pair of holiday tennis camps for kids ages 8-18, announced Samford head men's tennis coach Kemper Baker on Wednesday. The first session will be held prior to Christmas on Dec. 22-23, while the second camp is scheduled for Dec. 29-30.

Both of the sessions will be held at Samford's Pat M. Courington Tennis Center and will run from 9 a.m. - Noon.

The camps with offer both technical and tactical instruction for players of all abilities and will cover the serve and return, baseline play, the transition game, as well as singles and doubles strategy. Both sessions will include drills, games, conditioning, match play and team competitions.
