BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford men's and women's tennis team will take to the courts again Tuesday, March 6, as they play host to the Tigers of Tennessee State. This will be the men's second match against a conference opponent and the third for the women. After the conclusion of the match with Tennessee State, the Bulldog men will take on Alabama A&M.

The Samford women (3-1, 2-0 OVC) come off a 5-2 victory over Southeast Missouri. The win over the Redhawks marked the women's second triumph over conference opponents, making the Bulldogs undefeated against OVC competitors.

The Samford men had the weekend off after a full slate the weekend before in the Carolinas. The Bulldogs went 2-1 on the weekend, defeating Pfeiffer University and Davidson College but falling to nationally ranked South Carolina. In the match against South Carolina, Renan Silveira and Sam Huffman defeated South Carolina's nationally ranked doubles team.

Match play between the Bulldogs and the Tigers begins at 2:30 p.m., and the men will take on Alabama A&M immediately following the conclusion of that match. For a full recap and results, go to www.samfordsports.com.
