Samford Dual Tennis Match With Jacksonville State Rescheduled

Feb. 13, 2008

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. ---- The Samford men's and women's tennis matches with in-state rival Jacksonville State scheduled for Wednesday have been rescheduled due to weather and will be played on Feb. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the JSU Tennis Complex.

The Bulldogs and Gamecocks were scheduled to play at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday in a dual match that would have counted as a non-conference contest. They will make it up in two weeks. The two will also meet in an Ohio Valley Conference dual match on March 13 in Birmingham at the Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavilion, a meeting that is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

The Samford women will be in Montgomery, Ala., this Saturday, Feb. 17, facing off with Auburn University at Montgomery. Match play is scheduled for noon. The men have a couple weeks off before opening the Ohio Valley Conference season along with the women at Tennessee-Martin.
