Men's Tennis Sweeps Jax State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - The Samford men's tennis team swept Jacksonville State 7-0 in Atlantic Sun Conference tennis action on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were trailing for the doubles point but Travis Johnson and Colin Thompson overcame a 2-7 deficit to win 9-7 and Raphael Bohli and David Misner overcame a 4-6 deficit to win 8-6. Misner and Bohli are now 5-2 on the season at number one doubles. In singles play, Misner and Bohli had to win tiebreakers in the first sets of their matches but went on to straight set victories. Johnson, Thompson, Chuck Haddox, and Andres Leal each had straight set victories for the Bulldogs. Samford will face Birmingham-Southern on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Samford 7, Jacksonville State 0
