TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Samford men's tennis team opened up the 2001 spring schedule at Florida A&M on Tuesday. The Rattlers took a 5-2 victory but the play of David Misner and Clive Yeo were bright spots for the Bulldogs.

Misner won his match at number two singles 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 and newcomer Yeo won at number six 6-4, 4-6, 7-6. Yeo, who enrolled at Samford from South Africa this semester took the tiebreaker 7-3.

The Bulldogs will play an unusual split double-header on Feb. 2. Samford will face UAB at the Samford Tennis Complex at 10 a.m. before traveling to Tuscaloosa, to face Alabama in an indoor match at 7 p.m.
