Men's Golf 16th at Belmont Invitational

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Bradley Farmer shot a final-round even-par 71 to finish with a three-round total of 229 and Samford finished 16th in the 18-team field at the Belmont Invitational at the Legends Club on Tuesday. Farmer's final round was the lowest score posted by a Bulldog in the tournament. Andy McRae followed Farmer with a 72 on Tuesday for a total of 230, along with Mike Clements (233), Russell Kelly (237) and Seth Mobley (243). Austin Peay State's Adam Shanks led the entire tournament and finished as the individual medallist with an even-par total of 213. APSU also claimed the team title by one stroke over Eastern Kentucky with a total of 877. EKU followed with 878, along with Morehead State (879), Gardner-Webb (892) and Chattanooga (893) in the Top 5.
Other team scores were as follows: Stetson (895), Tennessee Tech (895), Tennessee State (897), Vanderbilt JV (899), Western Carolina (907), UT-Martin (911), Lipscomb (912), Eastern Illinois (914), Mercer (925), New Orleans (927), Samford (929), Cleveland State (931) and host Belmont (936).
