2006-07 OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll

Junior (2006-07): Competed as a member of the playing five in all of Samford's tournaments during the 2006-07 campaign...finished the season with the third lowest stroke average (75.5)...turned in his best performance of the season at the Francis Marion Tournament, shooting a season-low 71 in the first round and a season-low total of 215 to finish in a tie at fifth place...finished in a tie at 15th at the OVC Championships.

Sophomore (2005-06): Saw action in all of Samford's tournaments as a member of the playing five...finished the season with the lowest stroke average for the Bulldogs with a 67.7 (31 rounds)...led his team to a second place finish at the ULM Fred Marx Invitational, tying for third individually and posting his lowest tournament total of the season (217)...carded his lowest round of the season (68) in the second round of the REMAX/UTC Fall Classic...finished sixth in the JSU Grub Mart-Young Oil Intercollegiate.

Freshman (2004-05): Among the Samford playing five to compete at the NCAA West Regionals...part of the Samford playing five to win the crown at the 2005 OVC Championships...named to the All-OVC First Team, after tying for fifth place at the OVC Golf Championships...competed in 11 tours with nine top-25 finishes...recorded best finish in first collegiate competition of his career at the Buffalo Rock/ Birmingham-Southern Showdown, as he finished in a tie for fourth place with a score of 212 (69-71-72)...finished the regular-season with stroke average of 73.46, just 1.46 over par.

High School: Attended Catholic High School in Decatur, Ala.

Personal: Born Sept. 6, 1985...Son of Andrew and Belinda Villarreal...majoring in Pre-Business...sister Kelly Villarreal played on Samford's women's golf team.
