In Eubanks' second season as head coach, his dreams came true by leading the Bulldogs in taking the crown at the 2005 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championships with the OVC Most Valuable Player and three OVC First-team honorees, while advancing to their first-ever NCAA Regional Championship competition.

In his first season as head coach at Samford, Eubanks improved the team's stroke average to 300, while averaging just 12 over par. To complete the season, the team finished with a record of 62-58, and the team's best finish was second at the Harris Fall Classic. In its first year in a new conference, the team finished fourth in the OVC, after finishing last in the past three years in the Atlantic Sun Conference, while having four top-five finishes in the 2003 season. The Bulldogs were ranked 197th in the nation to end the 2003 season, while ranking 120th at the beginning of the 2004 season.

Originally from Greer, S.C., Eubanks recently married the former Jamie Crew on March 23, 2005, and they currently reside in Pinson, Ala.
