BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Four members of the Samford football team were named to the All-Conference team for the Ohio Valley Conference, when the team was released Tuesday afternoon.

Shannon Fleming (PK, 5-10, 175, Jr., Waycross, Ga.) was the team's lone first-team selection. Jeff Moore (WR, 5-11, 187, Jr., Jackson, Miss.), Graham Lemmond (C, 6-2, 275, Sr., Hayden, Ala.) and Chris Hicks (P, 5-10, 160, Sr., Calhoun, Ga.) were named to the league's second team.

For the season, Fleming made 12-of-14 field goals for a league-best 85.7 percent. He was also good on 16-of-18 extra points, giving him a team-high 52 points on the year. He also ranked second in the conference in field goals per game, averaging 1.09 per contest.

Moore led Samford and was third in the OVC in receiving yards (668) and receiving yards per game (60.7 ypg.). He was also tied for third in the league in total receptions with 49.

Lemmond, one of the team's captains for the 2006 season, started the last 22 games in a row at center after switching to the position from defensive line prior to his junior season. He was the leader of an offensive line that surrendered the second fewest sacks in the league.

Hicks finished second in the conference in punting, averaging 42.2 yards per punt. He placed 17 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line, and he had a long punt of 61 yards.
