BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team put the finishing touches on its game plan for Saturday's game at Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech with a 90-minute workout Thursday afternoon at Seibert Stadium.

"We feel good about our game plan," Samford head coach Bill Gray said. "We had a good week of work. We are anxious for the guys to go back out on the road and try to duplicate what we did at UT Martin. Winning on the road is paramount in this league if you are going to finish near the top. We need to go up there, protect the football and try to get it done."

Gray said he has seen improvement in his team as the season has progressed.

"We are playing much better than we did earlier in the year," Gray said. "But, all we can worry about is the game this week, and trying to go up there and win one on the road. This is a big game for us."

The Bulldogs will depart for Cookeville, Tenn., Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. Saturday's game is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff from Tennessee Tech's Tucker Stadium. The game can be heard locally on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at www.samfordsports.com or www.al.com/wvsu.
