BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team held a final walk-through Friday afternoon for Saturday's Homecoming game against 16th-ranked Tennessee-Martin.

Samford enters the game with a record of 3-4 overall and 1-3 in Ohio Valley Conference play after a 33-7 win at Murray State last Saturday. Tennessee-Martin is currently 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Skyhawks took last week off after defeating Tennessee Tech, 35-16, on Oct. 5.

Samford and Tennessee-Martin will be meeting for the 18th time in football, with Samford holding a 15-1-1 advantage in the series. Samford has won the last 14 meetings in the series. Last season, Samford won, 30-22, in Martin, Tenn.

The game is Samford's 71st Homecoming contest, and the Bulldogs have a record of 45-19-6. Samford has won nine of its last 10 Homecoming games.

Saturday's game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff from Seibert Stadium. The game can be heard locally on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at www.al.com/wvsu or www.samfordsports.com. The game can also be viewed via live streaming at www.ovcsports.tv.
