BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team practiced for about two hours in full pads Wednesday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The Bulldogs are continuing to prepare for Saturday afternoon's home game against the Miles College Golden Bears.

Samford head coach Pat Sullivan said he liked the way his team worked on Wednesday. He said the schedule of the practice was adjusted due to forecasted inclement weather.

"I thought we had a good day of practice," Sullivan said. "We changed things around because we thought it was going to rain, but it didn't. I think we ended up getting in some good work today."

The Bulldogs have just one full day of practice remaining for Saturday's matchup. Sullivan said the week has gone well, though the Bulldogs still have some players who are trying to return from either injury or illness.

"We've had a good week so far," Sullivan said. "We still have some people out with the flu and injuries, but I guess everyone is fighting that. Hopefully, we can get some more people back this week."

Samford will practice again Thursday afternoon. The practice scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Seibert Stadium.

Saturday's game against Miles is scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff from Seibert Stadium. The game can be heard locally on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at www.samford.edu/wvsu. Fans can also follow the game via GameTracker at the following link: GameTracker For Saturday's Game
