Samford University To Host Inaugural SoCon FanFest
July 10, 2008 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford University will host the inaugural Southern Conference FanFest on Aug. 12. The event, which is open to the public and scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., will feature music, food, beverages and contests, and it will be held at Joe Lee Griffin Field on the Samford campus. The conference will also have prize giveaways, including hotel rooms and two tickets to the Football Championship Subdivision championship game in Chattanooga, as well as the SoCon's basketball and baseball championships.
