Football Completes Day Two of Dog Games
May 14, 2002 Sophomore running back Jason Ogletree continued as the top dog on day two of the 2002 Samford Football Dog Games, recording the top mark in the squat, broad jump and in academics. In team competition, the Red team topped the Blue for the second straight day, posting 846.5 points to Blue's 809. Overall, Red leads with 1,507 points to Blue's 1,399 with four events remaining: bench press, 10-yard sprint, the 40-yard sprint and the shuttle run. On Tuesday, Ogletree tied with teammate Fred Gilliam in the squat, lifting 485 pounds three times. Ogletree also recorded a mark of 10'1" in the broad jump and has an overall GPA of 3.784. For the Red team, Brad Baker recorded a squat of 480 pounds three times, while Howard Terrell jumped 10'.5" and Andy Whaley led in academics with a 3.62 GPA.
