Football Completes 2006 Dog Games
May 11, 2006 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team completed the final day of the 2006 Dog Games Wednesday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The Red Team defeated the Blue Team, 3151.0-2973.0. The competition was a 10-event, three-day competition. In all, four new school records were set over the three days. New records were established in the hang clean, 10-yard dash, shuttle and broad jump. The players were ranked in six categories according to their score. The categories were: Top Dog, Super Dog, Big Dog, Bulldog, Puppy and Runt. Thirteen players reached Top Dog status, while only five reached the top level last year. Sixteen players placed in the Super Dog category, compared to 14 from last season. Below is a complete list of the leaders in each event.
