BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team will hold its second scrimmage of the spring Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Seibert Stadium.

"We've had great effort so far, but tomorrow I'd like to see a little better execution from our offense," Samford head coach Pat Sullivan said. "Their effort has been good, but we haven't had any consistency. We've had a few plays, but the defense has been ahead so far, and I'd like to see a little consistency out of the offense."

The Bulldogs practiced for about an hour and a half in shorts and helmets Friday afternoon. The practice was the ninth of the spring for Samford.

"I thought today was a great workout," Sullivan said. "It was a learning day and was something we needed. It should get them mentally prepared for tomorrow."

Sullivan described Friday's workout as a teaching practice, with the players working mostly on assignments.

After Saturday's scrimmage, the Bulldogs have one remaining scrimmage in the spring, which is scheduled for April 26 at 7:00 p.m.
