Football Returns To Practice With Full-Pads Workout
April 11, 2007 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team returned to practice with a workout in full pads Wednesday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The practice was the first for the Bulldogs since last Friday's scrimmage. "I was disappointed in today's practice," Samford head coach Pat Sullivan said. "I thought today was the first time they just kind of went through the motions and didn't practice with the spirit that they were going to get better. That's something we are going to have to challenge them to do." Sullivan added that, overall, he has liked the way his team has worked throughout spring drills. "I have been very pleased with spring practice so far," Sullivan said. "Today, I didn't think we took a step forward, I thought we just went through the motions." Samford will practice again Friday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. in shorts and helmets. The Bulldogs will scrimmage for the second time this spring Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Seibert Stadium.
