March 30, 2007 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team went through its first workout in full pads of the 2007 spring season Friday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The Bulldogs practiced for about two hours. "The effort our guys have given us has been outstanding," Samford head coach Pat Sullivan said. "Today, we were able to put the pads on and play some real football." Sullivan talked about a few individuals he has been pleased with through the first three practices of his first spring at Samford. "Mark Brown is having a good camp," Sullivan said. "I thought Jefferson Adcock made a couple of nice throws and decisions today. Jonathan Lowery is starting to come on and make some plays, and Joe Jones also made some good plays today." Sullivan added that he was pleased with the way the team has worked through its first three practices. "The enthusiasm has been good," Sullivan said. "We just need to continue that through the rest of our practices." The Bulldogs will practice again Saturday afternoon in full pads at 2:15 p.m. at Seibert Stadium. The first scrimmage of the spring is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m.
